Bellport Country Club is very nice, I was the MOH in a wedding there and have been there many times. How did you like it?

Re: help with venues please!
since it was the very first venue I saw, I thought it was pretty good...but I'm actually falling in love with East Wind. I still have to see Leonard's, Chateu Briand, Flowerfield and Venetian Yacht Club. Wish me good luck =)

Re: help with venues please!
We booked Leonard's ... good food, great prices, pretty elegant and definitely the best for the price.

I'm actually going to see Leonard's and Chateau Briand on Sunday,,,and then we'll make our final desicion out of 8 place we've seen. I already know I'm gonna fall in love with Leonard's though, we went to their website and it was GORGEOUS! I'm a little worry about the place though 'cause it def looks expensive

actually leonard's may be the best buy out of the places you mentioned.
I have to tell you out of the places you mentioned I LOVED Flowerfield's. The food isn't comparable anywhere else but maybe land's End bc they're the same owner.
I went to an amazing wedding at Venetian too.

Definitely search the Bride's Review boards... I think I read every single one about my RH before booking!!

Re: help with venues please!
I looked at lombardis on the sound and I didn't like the fact that they had stains on the ceiling and they don't have an indoor ceremony.

Re: help with venues please!
I just started looking myself at RH's this weekend. I looked at the Venetian and was not impressed. The prices were reasonable but they rushed you throw the appointment and didn't even give you time to ask questions. We went on a tour, were given the food lists, prices, and were back in the car in 15 minutes! The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth!

yeah that would totally get a big red cross off the list for them.
