I know I'm not the only one, but I need some help as to what to do about finding a wedding cake from a good bakery.
Do you set-up an appointment where they give you samples of different cakes (like they do on TV) and you can try them and choose one you like?
And then do you show them a picture of what you want the cake to look like?
Also, suggestions for a good bakery around Westbury are appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: HELP with Wedding Cakes & Bakeries
I just posted the same thing on the DeSeversky board! i just called a bakery in East Norwich and they said to come in, take a look at the books, and to make an appointment to come back to actually taste what i want. the reason is they have 40 different fillings, and there is no way they will have all of those in the shop at one time. i am going tomorrow. i will post an update if you like! and she said to bring a picture if i had something in mind. and the cost is based on the size, and i am assuming the amount/difficulty of the decoration.

Re: HELP with Wedding Cakes & Bakeries
Fh husband and I are using someone in Oceanside. The name of her place is Sweet Things. We made an appointment, and she had about 12 different cake pieces with the fillings that we inquired about. She is very reasonable, and she does gorgeous work. Considering our cake will be a castle, it had to be impeccable.Check out her web site,it's as follows www.sweetthingsoceanside.com Hope this helps.

Re: HELP with Wedding Cakes & Bakeries
I got my cake from Black Forest Bakery in Lindenhurst. I got it thru West Sayville CC.
