I've been reading a lot of the posts here and all of you seem to be in sync and in the know. My question is I've been married a couple of times and I am getting married again. I'm in my mid forties. We're having an evening wedding and I want to wear a gown. I need to find a very pale, almost invisible color, green wedding gown. Most of my friends think I should just wear a dress (like bridesmaid dress or evening wear) . I want to look like a bride, not a bridesmaid. My fiance will be wearing a tux and it's an evening formal ceremony - next October. Any thougts, concerns, suggestions? anyone know where I can find a pale green wedding gown? Thanks!

I think you should wear exactly what you want. I haven't heard of pale green but I have heard of pale blue and pink.....maybe you could go to a bridal shop and ask about that? I say start by doing some research online and see desingers that carry a color you are looking for...I know Maggie Soterro does gowns in a blush pink color...

Re: help with wedding dress
Sorry I don't know where u can look, but just wanted to say that u should wear whatever makes u happy. I agree that u r a bride and not a bridesmaid!
ooh and I'd also suggest wearing a champagne colored gown. That is a lot more common (and easier to find) then a mint green dress

I *think* the pictures of Denise (Espo22) wearing her dress show a pale green dress. although she ordered the white or ivory version for herself, the dress they had in store was some other color.

Didn't someone try on a kenneth poole dress in pale green?
a light mint green sounds nice but i havent seen any dresses in that color - but that doesnt mean they dont make them! ive seen really pretty blush colors.....i am sure if you do your research you can find something. good luck in your hunt!

Re: help with wedding dress
Wow! thanks for all the responses; suggestions, thoughts, congrats, and encouragement!!
Someone offered to make my dress. I've sent her pictures, suggestions of what I like, but she has not responded. I'm thinking she's changed her mind. I'm reseraching on-line; not having much luck....main reason for my initial post. I was right - all of you are a great resource. thank you!!!
I will check out the designers and web sites mentioned. Thanks again!! only 316 days
