I got this from a wedding etiquette website:
Indicate that the reception is to be adults only by having the words 'Adults Only Reception' or 'Adult Reception' printed along with the reception location and time on the invitation.
Do not use phrases such as NO KIDS, NO CHILDREN, etc. The only correct wording is Adult Reception or Adults Only Reception.
If you use the 'Adult Reception' option, please be advised that some people may interpret it as an adult reception, as if a go-go dancer will jump from the wedding cake.
Another option is to use a traditional reception card wording, but in the lower corner of the card in smaller type print: 'Adults only, please' (The phrase 'No Children' is discouraged since there should be no 'No's' on a wedding invitation to keep it positive.)
