My co-worker needs ideas to pop the question. He has the ring ansd really wants to do it this weekend. His GF is away and will return home on Sunday afternoon.
HELP HELP HELP
Any ideas would be helpful!
I say to get rose petals, and decorate their entry stairs with votive candles and have a dinner and champagne ready when she gets home.

maybe take her to the place they went to on their first date
does he want to do it at home? then he can do the whole dinner, rose petals, candles thing. But to find something personal about their relationship to incorproate into the way he will ask.

The most romantic proposal stories I have heard been when the guy incorporates a key aspect of the relationship or the girl's personality into the proposal.
Example:
what's her favorite food/snack ? Hide the ring in a bag of chips lol
Is she an avid reader? Buy her a new book and write will you marry me on the book mark
IDK I would need more specifics to really help ...I LOVE stuff like this!

This happened to one of my best friends. She came home from a long day at work. Her then bf asked her to get him a drink from the fridge. She was pretty mad, but went to open the fridge. When she did, everything had been removed but the ring box. That was pretty cute!

i love that too, thats why i said incorporate something about their relationship or just her like you said. I think when you show her also just how well you know her it shows that extra effort.

well if he wants a romatic thing..then go for the trail of petals, the cadles, dinner and all that..
but if he looking for something diffrent maybe she walks in and there is notes allaround leading her from one spot to another..a rose at each spot..when she gets to the last one he is somewhere, she turns on the light and he is there on one knee

Well...what I always told FH I would like is to have him persuade me to go on a ferris wheel...b/c I'm pathedic and never have...LOL... and then when we stopped at the top he woud open the ring box. He wanted to do this...but...he proposed in Dec...sorta hard to do that then... LOL. But, it's def. something different.

That's how FH proposed to me! And it was cute and sweet and nice and romantic. Well he did all but the dinner... he was suposed to have the dinner ready but didn't. But after reading all the other stuff from the girls... those are all great ideas!

My FH proposed at his parents' house. . .while we were house sitting. Romantic, right?
We REALLY need a thread on here where we share our proposal stories. Mine is pretty funny, actually--we're not overly romantic people, so it made sense for ours to have lots of laughs.

You should start the thread

FH made me one of those photoworks books with all pictures of us and captions underneath them. Things like 'When we are young, or all grown up,...are feeling sick....are acting silly...' The last page was a picture of the ring and it said ' i love you, will you marry me?' It was awesome because it was low key and we have something to remember the day!

Re: Help...Co-woker needs proposing ideas...
i like things completely different, perhaps spell it out in scrabble letters...
Or have him bake a cake and ask her to take it out of the oven... althoughit wouldalready be baked with the words 'marry me' on it..
Um, a friend of mine proposed by buying his fiance her favorite bar of chocolate, and put a pieceof paper that said 'Marry me Sam' on it... and then resealed it...(she is a huge wonka fan though so that was more them... its still cute though)
another proposal i know of was my cousins bf proposed where they first met but first, drove around and gave her one rose at every place they had gone on their dates or memories. Then at the end, proposed right in the middle of babies r us lol...

fh bought me 'out of the blueberry snapple'
I LOVE snapple, and blueberry is my favorite thing to eat/drink so when i popped the lid it read 'Real Fact 1111 will you marry me' lol
