helpful registry idea for brides who live far away!
Just read this on another board and thought I would share -- lets say you are a bride who lives across the country but your shower and other events will be here. So people are going to give you all of these presents but you live far away! Apparently, BBB (and maybe other places) allow you to return your presents to a store, repurchase them right afterwards and have them shipped to your home address! I think the deal is if the presents are more than $500 total, shipping for EVERYTHING is only $30. This way you can easily get your gifts back to another state with minimum hassle!

That sounds like the best way...just bring everything to BBB to the service desk and I'm sure they could handle all the paperwork for you.. now.. if you don't mind not opening gifts on that day, maybe you could attach a note inside the invite envelope saying to please have the gift shipped to your home address ?? BUt it know...a shower is really no fun w/out any gifts to open!

this is really great to know--i live here but i was born in texas and a LOT of my family lives there still-everyone excpet my parents, so my mom's throwing me a shower down there, and i was thinking the other day about how im going to get presents back home
