My FI and I are in disagreement about how much to spend on gifts for the bridal party (especially since it is HUGE). I know there is no set rule and you give what you can and what you feel is right, but I would appreciate some input about how much others have spent. You don't have to say the exact amount, but even a price range would be helpful. My FI agreed that if I posted the question and girls were closer to what I want to spend (a little more than him) he would go along with it, so as much info as I can get to support my side would be great!! I was orginally thinking of $100 per person ( we have 16 in th BP so far) however I work in the jewelry industry so I am thinking for the girls I could get away with a lot less for really nice gifts.

I'm trying to keep it near $50, but depends on what I find. This is typical when I've been in my friend's weddings. But I'm not originally from Long Island.

I spent about $100, but I only had a MOH. If I had more BMs, I would have stuck to about $50. It just adds up too quickly and I think the thought counts.

I will probably spend $100 per person, but I know a lot of people who spent a lot less. I'm spending a little more because my BM dresses are a little pricey plus some of my BM's are travelling here from out of town, staying at hotels, etc.

i spent about $70 per girl... i had 4 girls... i got them each a necklace, a wooden jewelry box ( from AC Moore that i stained myself and put velvet inside), and a $20 gift card to bath and body works.... i wouldn't go too too nuts- this is one of the things that can add up really fast- if you and DH both have 11 people in it, and spend $100 pe person.... thats $2200 JUST on wedding party gifts..... it adds up.....

we are on a tight budget- so we could only afford to spend $40 per person.
you need to do what works for you- dont worry about the status quo.
ETA: i'm not making the girls buy bm dresses and the mothers are paying for my shower, so they dont have large expenses for wedding related things.

I agree. I have a small party so I will probably spend $150 on each. But if I had a larger party, I'm sure that amount would decrease. I definitely agree with evnme do what works for you.

not sure what the total cost will be, but i have 1 moh and 4 bm, 1 jr bm, 1 fg, 1 bestman, 4 gm, 1 jr gm, 1 rb...for the bm's i am buying their shoes which i hope will be less than $50/pr. i will also buy their day of jewelry (right now i like a pearl illusion necklace-$35 and pearl earrings-$20 from carolee's website). i want to get them one more thing, but something not wedding related, maybe a coach wristlet. for my moh i want to get something bigger, like a coach bag bc she is doing so much for me. for the guys we will give best buy $75 gift cards, they get less bc they spend/do less. thats the plan for right now. i say give what you can/want. it costs a lot of $ to be part of someones wedding, dress, shoes, hair, shower, shower gift, wedding gift, bachelorette party, and time. its nice to give back and say thanks! ~lacey

Look I don't know how you would feel about this, but I have 7 GM. The BM makes way more money than us and the other gm either don't need, want or really even care traditional GM gifts, I figured a way to save some cash and make them very happy. I'm hiring a stripper for after the rd for them. I figured they'll be happy and it will only cost $300. Not bad for 7 men. My BMs I will mostly spend around $50 each, I have 6.

I spent $150 on my bridesmaid who deserved that & MORE! she was my right arm during my planning and I wish I could have given her more.
I spent about $75 each on the other 2.
ETA: my DH spent $125 on each of his 2 brothers and about $100 on the GM.

We budgeted $100 per person, but I caught Macy's having a 50% off sale on sterling silver jewelry, and I bought a necklace and earrings for each of the three girls for a heck of a lot less than that. I'm planning on getting them each a small bag to carry stuff in at the wedding as well, but I think I can keep that to @ $10 each at Tri-County. I'm at a complete loss as to what to get my FG though.

Reasonable is about $75 per person.
I was thing robe with matching slippers monogramed with name on robe. T-shirt ieth their names in rhinestone and a couple of trinkets which will all be engraved or monogramed in my wedding colors
