Help...I need either a Church or Chapel

I live in Florida and I am having my wedding at Westbury Manor in NY. I no longer belong to any parish in NY. I am Catholic. I am looking for a location to have my ceremony. I have a priest. Now I just need a location that allows me to have my ceremony at 5 o'clock. A lot of Churches have 5 o'clock mass which presents an obvious problem for my search. Can anyone help me to find a photo worthy, quaint church or chapel that could suite my needs????? I am having a small wedding. Help please. Thanks!!!

Westbury Manor did not have too many options for us. I don't want to get married at Westbury Manor. Also I need to get married in a Catholic facility. I have a Catholic priest, he is a family friend with certain restrictions.

CW Post College has a beautiful Interfaith Chapel. As long as the school isn't using it on the date you want, I believe you can have your ceromony any time. If you google CW Post and go on their website you can find out all the information about the chapel.

i love it! the priest we met with there is soo nice!! he didn't blink an eye when i told him fh and i have the same address. I believe their fee is 600 which includes ceremony music. the aisle isn't too long but theres 4 rows of pews. The alter's main color is red, which i'm not thrilled with, but the location was great for us, we're able to do a full mass, and have our own preist. the outside has a few nice stautes to take pics too. theres a bride on here that got married there, heres her review. she has some nice pics of the church

Yes it is painted a light blue. The front wall I think is blue and the side walls are windows. I don't think the whole room is blue. I am getting married there because I wanted to have time in between the ceremony and the reception to take pictures.

As per the second to last comment: Her pictures look very nice, I love stained glass!

Also I spoke with CW post and I am happy to hear that I can have the ceremony when ever I want. I am running into the same problem with pictures...

Also the staircase leading up to the chapel and CW Post is a great place for picutes. You get the chapel for 3 hours. So there is plenty of time for pictures.

if you want your marriage to be recognized by the Catholic Church, it must be done physically INSIDE a Catholic Church. this is probably the restriction your family friend/priest is talking about. If you are a FRIDAY night, there is a possibility that they will allow you to do a 5:00 service. if it's the First Friday, you may not be able to do it either, because they usualyl have an evening Mass/novenas on the first friday of the month. if it's a Saturday, it's a no go because they 5 PM Mass.

If you're a Saturday wedding, you would do a 2:30-3:00 Mass and/or a 3:30 ceremony only, but that is probably the latest they will do. GOOD LUCK!

There are several parishes around the Westbury Manor (St. Bridgid's and St. Aidan's are two I know of...)) I would call around and see who might be able to accommodate you... but often, you/your family or Fh and/or his family must be parishoners.

St. Brigid's is pretty. And you might even be able to swing not being a parishoner....I know my church said that if neither of us were a parishoner, all we would have to do is get permission from the parish priest to get married there....
