HELP..i'm trapped in my bedroom!!

Ok..thankfully i finally got my mom's laptop so i have something to keep me busy!!!

So here goes...I was sitting up late last night.. on the couch reading a good book..when i decide to turn on a movie. So i look up and what do i see? A mouse...sitting on top of my door (the molding really) .. so i scream bloody murder.. well no one can hear me while i'm downstairs.. so as i'm screaming again... i call the house phone from my cell phone to wake up FH cause i aint walking through that door and even though there is another way out i dont know whats there so i aint budging..lol. My mom of course picks up the phone ( for those who dont know...we live with her until we can afford a place hopefully soon after the wedding..lmao) ..I instruct her to knock on the bedroom door and send FH down with the cat!!!!! As i look up to see where the little bugar went i see it sitting in an angel that is hanging near my living room door doing what seems to be making a bed for himself. As he hears my 80 plb dog run down the stairs he ran back up on the molding. I of course take this oppurtunity to make a break for it. Long story short.. i dont know where it is now but my trusty kitty who always seems to do his job didnt find it last night.. So now i'm confined upstairs to my bedroom with the 2 dogs til FH gets back home from work ( it's his Bday so he's leaving early). So now its just me, a lap top, LIW and a prayer..lmaoo! i'm such a chicken.. but when those things start climbing... i dont stick around to find out where else it's gonna go!!! HELP! lmao..

woo sorry for being so long winded.. but there is something about those little things that just make me shiver from head to toe!!!!

thanks ladies! I know they are more afraid of me than i am of them.. but why can't it just stay outside and on the ground? lololol.
just counting the hrs til FH is home now.. he said at least he feels needed today..lmao!!

awww... i'm soo there with ya!! cause i woulnt be moving.. lol at the mouse making a bed and getting comfy.

From someone who was once stranded on a kitchen table for an hour because a mouse darted across the kitchen floor while unpacking groceries....I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! Mice are EEEEVil!!

lol..that is soo us. i'm not as bad as my mom.. but usually if one is spotted we line up chairs so we never have to touch the floor.. the thought of it running over your foot just ...well..ewwww..lmao. But since this one seems to like being higher up the chair thing doesn't help. So i am now watching Tori & Dean inn love on oxygen on demand!! Man do i need to find a new job soon or what'? lol.

lmoa....you just threw me back into my college years....we had a mouse in our apartment....my apartment was all girls and the apartment next door was all guys....well my other roomates all grew up in the sticks so they were used to having mice aroud.....i could care less either way, but when our little mouse came out of hiding in the guys apartment all you could hear is a bunch of men screaming like someone was trying to kill them....we ladies of ocurse go running(cause we think that if someone is there killing them we can help-NOT) well we go runnng next door and you can see 4 guys stanind on teh breakfast bar and our little mouse running across the livingroom floor.and into their coat closet.....we laughed for days after this......4 grown men terrified by the little white mouse.....our landlord captured him the next day and set him free into the fields....so have no worries......lots of people are afraid, but as you said....they are more afraid of you :) hang in there!

oh man.. that is hysterical. boys are so funny sometimes. I had a friend once who was all muscle.. big tough guy..all the guys always hung out by my house. In my old apartment we were on the second floor but had a patio..we didnt have a cat yet but the guy next door had 2.. so they would chase all the little unwanted visitors onto our patio and they would eventually make thier way into the house. Well this thing comes in and my big tough friend is there, so i go omg theres a mouse.. i jump on the couch and yell 'mike do something' .. he screams like a girl and says omg a mouse..where.. jumps up on the couch and basically wraps himself around me.. ***??? lmaooo.. what good are boys if they aren't gonna save you from the creepy crawly things.. !! lmaoo

the first time i saw a mouse was at my last teaching job in the city.. that thing darted cross the classroom while we (students and I ) were all in there..

u ever seen tht episode of seinfeld where george is at a kiddie party and there is a fire and he throws little kids out of hte way to escape?

that was me with my students.. i made it into the hallway bout 45 seconds before my kids..

I used to be a receptionist...one day I went to answer the phone and when i went to pick it up....A mouse ran across the desk...After partially wetting my pants I punched out and went home...there was NO WAY i was working in a office with a mouse!!!! THE FEAR IS REAL PEOPLE!!!!

we called our mouse mighty.. cause damn if that thing didn't come out in the MIDDLE OF CLASS.. and stand in the MIDDLE OF THE ROOM and while we ran around hysterically oleboy would just sit there...

now i don't have much expedriene with mice.. but i was pretty sure they didn't pop up in the middle of a loud room..

thank god i'm not the only one!!!! You poor girls.. i would have freaked out!!! Mice in classrooms.. on phones.. jeez.. i'd be in a nut house! lmao.

That's how my fear of spiders started. I was like 5 or 6.. i was coloring in this giant coloring book that my aunt or uncle got me.. and i'm laying on the floor. I see a piece of dust and go to move it ..until it moved itself..it was a big yucky spider. ewwwwwww!

2nd time.. i'm in Florida with my mom, aunt, best friend and her mom.. i'm about 7.. we are parked in a drug store parking lot.. all of a sudden this big a$$ spider with wings basically comes flying into the car window. I mean it was huge.. hadda be as big as my fist. Well me and my Best friend go running into the drug store.. no shoes on..begging for some bug spray or something. Needless to say we didnt get back in the car until some nice guys stopped and offered to help and finally got the spider out of the car.. after that we still weren't to thrilled with the idea of riding in it again..lmaoo.

yea.. u are right. Some of them are brave and will come out with a lot of noise..but they tend to wait until it's quiet!!! I swear..it's NY.. these mice have no fear. And the babies are always braver than the parents. problem is when u see a baby you know there is usually a mommy and daddy not far behind!!!

You need to get someone to throw some poison in the hole, and then plug it up with that super heavy duty steel wool, then reseal the hole.

In my old apt, I had 2 mice at seperate times. The first time, this foul smell kept seeping from under my couch. I was praying something was dead under the floorboards but no...a mouse was rotting under my couch!

I couldn't pick it up because I was SO scared and my friend came over from Battery Park City to the UES, to pick it up for me...He was my hero.

The second time, I found it ALIVE under a bag of clothes I was supposed to donate. My cat was FREAKING OUT. I chased it around for a while with a broom. In one good whack, I got it! And I even picked it up by myself! It took me an hour and a few phone calls to some friends for moral support but I did it.

Turns out there was an ENORMOUS hole behind my sink that needed to be sealed. Once I did, no more mice!

Thanks girl! I was determined to get him because I didn't want to leave my apartment. I figured it was him or me and since he wasn't paying rent...it was ME!

I completey understand!!

One morning after everyone left I was going to have breakfast, I opened up my cereal box and a mouse freaking jumped out and ran across the room.... I dont think I have EVER screamed that loud in my life and I sat on my kitchen chair for 2 hours until the exterminator came.
