If you have a concern about ceremony music. and you are on a tight budget I have a suggestion. If you do not have someone that will either sing for free or play for free, this is what I did. I bought altec lansing speakers from J & R music world for $35 plugged them to an I pod and the music filled the entire room (for 250 guests). So if you are on a tight budget, this works really well. Let me know what you think..

my DJ, for $100, came early and set up smaller equipment in the ceremony room and played CDs of the music we wanted. plus, the music we wanted couldn't have been duplicated live so it sort of had to be done this way!

My friend who is a musician played at our wedding, free of charge. We had 2 guitarists. I'm sure you know someone with musical talent.

As a violinist, I can't tell you how many number of times I've played at friends' weddings for free as my 'wedding gift' to them (but always still gave them $75 or $100 on top of that). It EASILY saves them at least $200-300 on ceremony music.

Which reminds me. . .I have to ask some musician friends if they'll play my wedding. . .
