HELP!!! We are looking for something outoddor & different. We have so many friends getting married at the same time we are...Anyone have suggestions on how to stand out? We looked at the Crows nest in Montaulk. That was different, but the setting didn't stand out. I saw some great pics of Atlantica (not sure if it is out of our league) & Vineyard. Anyone have any suggestions? I have 2 yrs, but this is my big goal for the yr. past & future brides, please help. Thanks

Re: HELP...Looking for an outdoor wedding...
we are getting married at lands end. everybody we brought to see it loved it because of the outside features. the ceremony takes place in a garden, but behind the garden and surrounding the rest of the outside area is the beach and water. its beutiful and the service and food is great. definatly check it out!

Re: HELP...Looking for an outdoor wedding...
I am having my reception at the Woodbury Country Club and they have beautiful grounds for outside ceremonies... Check them out:
I am getting married at Majestic Gardens. I picked this place because of the beautiful outdoor setting. They have added to their landscape, and it is gorgeous. Take a look at their website. The food is delicious!
Try the Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling - it has 2 outdoor locations AND a great indoor atrium, just in case the weather doesn't cooperate. You can't go wrong, the banquet manager is FABULOUS! I don't think it's as expensive as Atlantica? But I think they only book 1-1.5 years ahead. GOOD LUCK!

Re: HELP...Looking for an outdoor wedding...
I thought that Flowerfields has the best outdoor and grounds in general, it's pricey. but it's absolutely gorgous. In addition the Crest Hollow has beautiful grounds, not sure of the actual ceremony area outside, since there was a ceremony at the time, but for Crest Hollow I didn't really like the inside but thats just my taste....

Have you looked at the Crescent Beach Club? It is right on the beach and gorgeous! It can be pricey, but depending on the date you can get a deal.

Re: HELP...Looking for an outdoor wedding...
Thanks all. I do love Flowerfields, but we are in a wedding for our friends in July of 2005...right befor us. I like Majestic Gardens too, but we live in Rocky Point...we were hoping for something a little bit further & different. I think that I will check out Crescent, that looked nice in pics. Keep the ideas flowing, we have a little time to play with, so I have time to check out some options. The only hard part is that my finace works weekends as a manger at PC Richards & cannot take off until after the holidays. Our goal was to book by the end of the yr, but that didnt happen.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving all!!! Thanks again.

I got married outside at the Crest Hollow Country Club. I had my cocktail hour outside by the pool as well. Everything was beautiful!
