I just got a call from the Bridal Salon--- She told me that my alterations on my bridal gown were $500!!!
Is that insane or is it just me?

A friend was told about the same amount from Davids. Just call around you can find it cheaper.

That sounds about right... Kleinfelds is a little more, but most bridal stores charge a lot for alterations. It's worth it if the seemstress knows the dress well.

Does that include the bustle also?
My dress is $395 Cap for alterations and $295 for Bustle It is a lot of money, but I feel like they have me by the balls

I think that is alot for alterations. My alterations are capped @ $200.00 and my bustle is $7 per point for a regular bustle or $10 per point for a french bustle.

It sounds about right. Its not cheap to alter a gown!!

Well it includes the bustle I think ?(going there tomorrow for 2nd fiting, so I guess it is too late to go somewhere else)
I am a little annoyed though, I wish they would have told me ahead of time!!!
