HELPPPPP!!!!
Ok girls, I'm panicking a little bit...I thought I'd be able to print the addresses for my invites on the envelopes using my dad's printer at work. Now that I got the invites, the envelopes are lined, and I'm scared that the printer will ruin the envelopes. I need to send the invites at the beginning of next week, since our RSVP date is April 2nd. (We made it very early because we are having a wedding during peak season, and want to make sure people have plenty of time to plan, book hotels, OOT guests to make arrangements, etc.)
I went into Staples today to ask if they did invitation printing, since I had heard that they did it, but they don't do it if you have your own envelopes, and they send it to an outside service which would take 7-10 business days, even if they had envelopes that worked.
So my panic is about how I'm supposed to get the addresses on the envelopes. I definitely don't want to hand write them, and I think it may be too late to get a calligrapher. Even if we found one who could somehow do it in time, I fear it may cost a fortune. We were trying to do invites inexpensive because I promised FH I'd cut the budget somewhere.
Does anyone have any suggestions?! HELP!!!

I'm printing my addresses on clear labels. Are you against doing that?I know some people don't like labels.

I am using clear labels as well. Can you try one and see how you like it?

I'm not against labels, but I'm so OCD that I'd go nuts if they weren't straight. So that option is out.

I also did clear labels! When you buy the labels it tells you a number and you just pick that style number in word and everything aligns for you!

I would go and buy the printer that you could print right on the envelopes or pay a calligrapher. Try another printing service, I know for work we use Sir Speedy for our printing needs

Definitely go with clear labels - you can always put together a template so that they are all lined up.

Thanks for the input girls. I did clear labels for my STDs, and it took forever bc I needed them to be perfect. I just don't have the time, nor do I have the patience, for that right now. I realize they are not difficult to put on, that's not really the point.

If you have a nice enough printer, you should be able to print them on your own like you planned. I did it for my save the dates, but I'm paying to have it done for my invites because I had to feed one envelope through at a time and it took forever. Just try one before you do them all.Otherwise, what about sending them to a digital calligrapher or sending them back to the business that made them in the first place? You might have to pay extra for the rush but it might be work skipping the aggravation...

Re: HELPPPPP!!!!
I would suggest getting new envelopes or using the envelopes you have as an inner envelope and getting new outer envelopes. I know there is a paper place in Westbury.

I don't think there are any other ways to put addresses on the envelopes other than to print them, add labels, or write on them yourself. But FH suggested you can scan your invites and just email them to people, then you don't have to worry about the envelopes.

I don't know if you think you're funny and this is your sense of humor, or you really just enjoy being this snarky, but you really should read your comments before you post them and think about if you'd like people to be as sarcastic as you always are toward you.
People come on these boards to ask for suggestions and advice from other brides and find out if they have other ideas that we haven't thought of. Not to be chastised and spoken to like we are idiots.
Please, if you have nothing nice or constructive to say, refrain from saying anything at all. You don't have to bother responding to this post.

We've all had enough of the snark. The snide comments are not only unappreciated but also uncalled for. We've been down this road before, and we can only hope that certain people get a clue and butt out if they have nothing constructive to say.

Did you scan and email your invites to people? While constructive criticism is always appreciated, snide remarks are not.
