I need to find something to put my cards in at the wedding. I don't want to rent the mailboxes or birdcages as I don't want to pay$40-50. I wanted to make one of those wedding cake boxes, but I don't live in NY so I don't have the time. Please let me know what you are all doing for this. Thanks!

I bought a large satin money bag off ebay for $8.50. I was going to do a cake holder box but I dont know how to make it & I am not spending $40 to buy one.

i found a nice cheap satin wedding box card holder at michaels last week. i was worried about the size of it, so i tried putting all my bridal shower cards in it for a test run and there was plenty of room.

My grandma is making my sating bag.. you can DEF make one.. its soo easy.. I can try and find you instructions if you like..
they have one at michael's for like 20 bucks..
In the yard section? at michael's they have all these cool wrought iron looking things that could easily be substitued for the card holder/birdcage... also check out your local thrift store.. it's amazing what you can find..

you could make a bag too ...buy a few yards of silky/nice material turn it inside out and either stich it yourself or get one of those as seen on tv mini stichers and create a squared 'u' shape - leaving one side undone (you could hem it if you want...) and depending on your skills, you could decorate it...maybe a family memebr would be honored if you ask them to help you make one too! (they are pretty cheap this way and mean more too!)

a friend of mine used a basket she spray painted white and glued on flowers and riboon to as well (just watch it so no-one walks away with it!)
