Our hotel said if 20 rooms book, we get ours for free. Do we book one now? Or wait until we get the block? What did you do?

I booked two suites a few months ago since we both are getting ready in the hotel. I was told once all the rooms are blocked, I would receive the credit at checkout. I didn't have to pay anything upfront, just left a credit card for incidentals.
Unfortunately, all the rooms weren't used in the block, but they did give us the two honeymoon suites for the same price as the room in our block- which is a huge savings for us

well our hotel has a room block rate for the suite and if we reached the 15 rooms for us to get one free, they'd take the rate down. So we booked ours early and once the 15 were booked I called to make sure they lowered the rate on our room and they did.

speak to the hotel, but they should allow you to book a room now and then issue a credit if you get the amount of rooms - that is what ours did.
