Okay, so I posted previously that I was going here cause I heard such good things about it ... well, what a waste of time! The girls were very nice but all the dresses where size 10 ONLY! thats the only size they have in all their dresses. So my MOH is like 16-18 and she couldnt even get the dresses over her hips... I felt so bad for her! I just felt horrible for dragging her there in this humidity for nothing. And she kept aplologizing the whole time, but it wasnt her fault and I felt horrible!!
Where else can we go for BMs dresses that have bigger sample sizes?

I agree...David's is a good place to start so that everyone can try the different styles on in sizes that fit them. Then, if you see a style you like, you can order it from somewhere else without trying it on.

i hated that part too. I felt horrible bc my cousin is about a 16-18 and most of the dresses were sizes 8-12, we did find a few that were 14 and she tried the 14 on just couldnt zip all the way. I asked RK if they had bigger sizes in the store to try and they did have a few that were about 18 or a little bit bigger but not many at all.
Its really messed up and ALL stores should carry larger sizes.
I do know that davids bridal definitely carries larger sizes and almost every dress they'll have in a larger size

From the stores Ive been to most only have samples in 8 10 12 ..its so rude..IMO

Yeah........that's a problem! most salons for the exception of David's Bridal carry sample sizes 10 and or 12 and its a problem if you're bigger than that.
needless to say that the gowns run smaller...i'm not a size 10 but i can barely fit into a size 10 gown....makes it dificult to appreciate the gown.
It was frustrating for me let alone my BM's--- just don't take it personal.

sorry to hear about ur experience.
i hvnt even taken my MOH dress shopping for her special dress bcuz of that problem. All these stores should carry every dress in larger sizes as well!

i think it s-u-c-k-s that they only carry samples in one size - its not fair to the larger people who cant fit into the samples and its not fair to the smaller girls like me - they were able to pin the dresses to fit me, but when something is literally 10 sizes to big on you pins and clips can give you an idea but not really i guess its to expensive and would take up to much room to carry samples in sizes like a 4, 10, and 18

I totally understand...its definitely a tough thing. Just know that it is not the fault of the actual bridal store. Each manufacturer sends one sample and unfortunately most of them send sizes 8-14. I dont know why, but they just do. I definitely agree that davids is a great place to start looking for gowns. That was one of the reasons we went there first. Everyone could try on the same dress and know what it would look like!
