Here it is my last day of vacation

and Im still here in front of the computer trying to decide what we should do for our HM!!!!
Someone shoot me.
We are doing Jamaica, that much we know but, now it is which hotel.... Sandals or Couples.
Sandals is more expensive and you have to pay for your own tours but, have great rooms.
Couples is less, less expensive and includes tours, 2 out of 4 of them have even more tours included but, the rooms are ok.
What do I do?
FH has only looked at Sandals resorts and hasnt looked at Couples yet for his opinion
P.S. Sandals sale ends in 4 days and Couples has a 350 credit to the spa and 150 credit for the gift shops with most of their deals if we book by the 28th. So I need to get a move on it.

I stayed in St. Lucia a year ago and loved it. If there is any way you can work it into your budget, I'd say do it! Even if their sale ends...I feel like they ALWAYS have a sale going on!

Are you looking to book it yourself or through a travel agent? A travel agent can help you get a few deals. We had a couples massage thrown in.

We booked Sandals, and we went on a test drive in January... it was really nice and they are so accommodating. Plus, you only put $400 down now and you have up until the payment due date to cancel, so you can change your mind if you need to.

Which resort/area of Jamaica were you looking at?

i would personally do couples bc yeah, a room is nice, but on our vacations, we like to get out and do things so having the tours included is a huge bonus for us

Montego Bay and Ocho Rios

Ok... just a tip-- for the test drive they took us to Royal Caribbean. It's their cheapest resort- and it's 1 of 2 in Montego Bay. I wouldn't book that one, it was a little run down, and although the rooms are really really nice nothing else beyond that really is.

I've read good reviews on Ocho Rios!!

Ooh tough call. We're staying at a Sandals only bc they don't have Couples in St. Lucia.

From what I've heard about Jamaica though (and no offense to anyone who is from there) but the areas outside the resorts aren't exactly the safest. So it might be a better option to have a really nice place to stay at.

Also don't worry about the Sandals sale - I was in a rush to book our HM too before the sale ended and they've had the same 50% off sales going on since like November!
