I just got called for another interview for next Thurs. Its in the banking industry which is my background and its at a great company in Westbury. I I have given up on trying to get a job in the field that I am studying, Social service. Every place wants you to have a bachelors degree and i dont have that yet. I am trying to feel happy and appreciate the fact that i got a call but i have been on so many interviews, sometimes 2 and 3 interviews at the same co, and i didnt get any of the jobs.

sorry to hear about that but you gotta see the upside to this - 1) you're gettin interviews - a lot of my coworkers aren't even getting phone calls for interviews 2) every interview is great practice and leads to more improvement for the next

I understand how you feel. It was like this before I got my degree and now that I have it, it is actually worse!! At least you are going on interviews but never give up. Something wil come through for you. Wishing you all the best in your search...

I know how you feel it is hard out there!!!!!!!! I have a degree in elementary ed and I am going for a case management position. I just need to be happy with what I get cause FH needs my help financially for the wedding and that's the bottom line!!!!!

I have been looking for a new job for the past 2 years (I currently have a job however the pay is awful and the hours are awful as well). I applied to a position over a month and a half ago and out of the blue, 2 weeks ago, they called me in for an interview. A week after that they called me for a 2nd interview and just yesterday they called me and offerred me the position! So keep applying and going on those interviews, maybe this position will work out.
Also I understand how you feel with wanting to work in your field of choice. My field is media/production which is currently where I am now, but my current position isnt what I want to do. My new position has nothing to do with media which is sad but the money will help me do some media classes on the side.
So keep up the searching and keep moving, you will find something soon! Good luck!
