Here we go again--I was in a car accident yesterday

Yesterday afternoon I was on my way to a doctor’s appointment. While driving on the beltway, traffic slowed down and the guy behind hit my vehicle. I was so frantic and I began crying. I was so distraught and all I kept saying what that I was pregnant. The guy came over and kept asking me if I was okay, and I said I don’t know -- I am pregnant. He went back to his car, and I am crying and trying to use my cell phone, which for some reason I didn’t know how to use at the moment. I finally got on to my husband, and the guy came back to my car and was saying to me that it looks like minor damage, and he doesn’t want to get the police and the insurance involved. He kept saying I can pay you, and I will fix your car. My husband then told me to pass the phone to the guy, and he told him that under no circumstances we are agreeing to anything like that. I then called my doctor and 911. While talking to them, a state trooper came up. He was such a jerk, here I am a total mess and really distraught, and he is being really arrogant and harsh in trying to get my license, insurance and registration papers. An ambulance came and took me to Labor and Delivery, where I was monitored for a few hours. I was then transferred to the emergency room because of lower back pain. An x-ray was taken, which showed no damage to my spinal cord. So thankfully, baby and I are okay. I will have some pain, and I have been given some medication for that.

Thank God you are okay. Since you are pregnant the guy was probably afraid you would sue him...especially since he hit you from behind. The good news is you and the baby are okay!

OMG, Natasha! Thank God you and baby are okay! I cannot believe the last few weeks you are having! Is it possible for you to take a sick day on Monday and just get some extra rest? Please, take it easy this weekend!

oh thank GOD you are both okay!!! That must have been TERRIFYING for you.....

And kudos to your husband. My husband taught me a LONG time ago to never fall for that. ALWAYS call the police and get a full police report no matter WHAT. I am so glad it all worked out...please rest and take good care and if you feel any weird pains or discomfort contact your doctor immediately, okay?

THE NERVE OF THAT GUY!!!! Of course you have to go to the hospital!!! holy crap...what a D!CK!!!!!! I am in shock...I hope he loses his insurance (since he was asking you to forget it...he probably can't even have a minor accident)

I hate when men (the State trooper AND the guy not wanting to call 911) are arrogant and just looking out for themselves!

I am sooo glad you and the baby are okay. How scary!!!! Try to take it easy and relax. Listen to some calming music and read a story to the baby. I promises that you feel better very soon!
