So FH's Bach Party is this Saturday. Two of the GMs IMed me this morning to tell me that they had JUST gotten the Email about it TODAY. They both live upstate, and only one will still be able to come.
Oh, and the Invite says the place is 'Dean's Beach House' without saying A: Who Dean Is (A GM, since you probably don't know either), and B: Where the beach house is.
One GM said 'I was expecting there to be an exit sign on the Highway that said 'Dean's Beach House' '
I DO feel bad for FH though - but I'm so tired of being stressed and angry all the time that I just have to LAUGH!!!!!!!

Yeah...I know exactly how you feel....
I had to have a 'talk' with my FH because one of the GMs was all like ' i have a tux, can i wear it and save money' and I'm like...'Um..no..the girls dresses cost like $300 ..and your tux rental with everything included is $130'. So FH is now ordered to speak to his men more regularly because they have no idea what's going on! I end up holding the bag all the time, because he doesn't take that much interest

If it makes you feel better, my cousin forgot to put the town on the address of the restaurant for my shower location. It wasn't on the direction cards either.
And it was a restaraunt called Mary's Backyard, so some people were wondering who Mary was & where her backyard was.
And as I posted yesterday, I think FH's best man forgot about Fh's bachelor party.

Yes, my FH's GM are Hardly ever around! I'm scared when it comes time for their 'duties' and the BP they will be clueless! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

That's so funny. I had my parents anniversary party at Mary's Backyard and when I sent the e-mail invites everyone responded by saying who is Mary and why are we having it in her backyard and not yours!

Let me add a few to the 'Ah - MEN' chant
DH's 'bachelor party' (a trip to NYC and the Mets game the day b/f our wedding) was planned just a few days before the wedding. This given the fact that most of the guys attending would be coming in from out of town. Somehow, though, it ALL worked out for them and they had a graet time. Meanwhile, I planned for months regarding certain things, only to have them fall apart in the big picture.

Mary's Backyard is on South Oyster Bay Road in Bethpage. It used to be Kenney's cafe. It's kinda small, 2 sepaarte ares of tables , nice long bar though. We had the smaller room in the front, for about 22 people. At night they don't have parties, b/c they use the tables for dinner.
We had a limited party menu ( choice of 3) so I don't know what the general menu looks like.
I had shrimp Francais. I thoguht it was good. Not the best ever, but good. the ice cream was very yummy! and the staff was really nice! It was really waarm in the room though , b/c of all the sun!
I don't have a picture of the outside, but here is the room we had.
