Here's a pickle!!!

Girls...I need advice! FH and I live together in a tiny little cottage. His parents live in a beautiful house right on the water in Blue Point. On my wedding day, I want to get ready and take pics there. FH agrees this would be best for the pics. His parents are fine with it also. I guess the night before the wedding, he has to come back to our house and I have to stay the night at his parents house...then have all my BM meet me there along with my makeup/hair people. Is that weird? Am I being too aggressive? I have to bring all of my things to his parents house...what if I forget something??? Just for the record, my parents live in Florida.

I dont see a problem with it. I would just let them know, so there arent any surprises.

As long as you are comfortable with his family its fine.
Is his BM going to stay at your house? He can bring you something if you forgot.

My cousin's husband stayed at a hotel the night before & his BM had to come back to the apartment to get the rings!

How do you feel about spending the night before your wedding at you in-laws house? I'd rather stay at my own home & let FH stay at his parents. In the AM you go to his parents & he comes to your house. If you both leave at the same time you won't accidently run into each other. Bring all your things over a day in advance.

I'm in the same situation, my parents live in the city and 90% of our family and friends in on Long Island.

So I am getting ready at my FIL's house, instead of my parents.. everyone is okay with it, and supports the idea, so I think as long as you keep everyone well informed, it's a great idea

I think it's fine. They're your fmaily too, now, and they seem fine with it. i think switching in the AM is going to be too complicated and could cause a mishap. if you forget something, someone can bring it to you or go get it. On my sister's wedding day, my FH had to come to my house from the grooms house because there was a tuxedo pants mishap. There's always someone you can send. Groomsemen don;t ahve as much to do, so they can be gophers.

if they are fine with it then why would it be wrong. im sure there flattered that you would want to take your pictures there and leave from there home on the most important day of your life.

As long as their OK w/ it you should do it! They should be thrilled to be able to be involved & such a big help to there FDIL .

You girls are a great help!!! Thanks so much! I've actually thought about staying at my house the night before and having FH stay at his parents and then in the morning, just switch homes, but I think that would just make a crazy hectic day more of a crazy hectic day. I'm so happy that my FILs are letting me use their home to get ready and take pictures. The pictures will be beautiful!

Razz...i am sleeping at my FMIL's house the night before and getting ready there with my Entire BP! I love my Inlaws and would no other place in the world but to take pictures in there beautiful home. My FH is getting ready across the street at a neighbors house just so i can get ready there.
We live together in an apt and did not want to get dressed from here.

i think its fantastic as long as your relationship with the INlaws are close and comforable. my Inlaws know all my BM's and love them all so no problems there
