My friends have been telling me that 'something blue' should just be the garter, but can it be the underwear? LOL It's just that my colors are purple/orange for fall, and I want a purple garter. Would it be bad luck?

Most people chose their blue to be their underwear so that's normal. A garter can be any color you want or specified to your fiance's liking. There are no rules.

Just make sure you can't see them through your dress.

I wanted to wear cutesy little underwear that side 'Bride' in rhinestones on the hip, but you could see the bumps from the rhinestones under my dress! It was no good- I wound up wearing a plain old nude thong. Bo-ring.

I painted my toes blue for my something blue! I actually loved the color so much that I've gotten another pedicure and did it the same color!

Whatever you want can be blue!

Something bluE can be anything! Some people do the undergarments some ppl jewelry such as sapphire earring or bracelet, it can be anything.

I asked 3 of my best friends that are not bridesmaids to wear blue and be my good luck charms at the wedding - these girls are also doing the readings during the ceremony ;)

I havent even thought of my 'something blue'....but the undies are a good idea, as long as you cant see them through the dress.

I personally hate the color blue, so i have no idea what i'm gonna do.....

Whatever you want it to be! I may do blue shoes. Or blue topaz earrings that FH bought me on our first vacation together

Some people are more subtle, like blue undies or a blue flower in the bouquet. My friend pinned a blue handkerchief to the inside of her dress

There is no rule about what needs to be blue - as far as I'm aware! I know that Kleinfeld offered custom labels for the dress that were embroidered in blue.
