Hershey Kiss News / Chocolate World Update

I stopped in at Chocolate World this weekend while FH and I were in Hershey, PA visiting his parents. The place was an absolute mob scene, so I didn't get to ask any questions... but I snooped around and I'm sure if you have any specific questions, you can just call them. (Do not call the park - they won't be able to help you - Call Chocolate World or a phone number you find at www.hersheygifts.com)

At any rate, someone was looking for pink and someone was looking for fall colors. I didn't see any kisses in those colors in just regular plain milk chocolate -- but you can get the cherry cordial flavor kisses in bright pink wrappers (more of a 'hot pink' than a softer pink, though). They also had a few flavors (I think perhaps nuts or something) in gold colored foil that was fall looking. For anything else or special order, I would call them or go through www.hersheygifts.com -- I'm sure they can custom order just about anything.

FH wonders why I love this site so much - it is because of things like this. We all team up and help each other to find out specific information - such as the color of the Hershey Kisses they sell at Hershey Park!

I should also add, they had 'confetti' kisses. They were regular milk chocolate, but the wrappers were silver with red 'confetti' on them. They looked festive.

If you're looking for colors and having a difficult time, check out some of the other flavors -- they all have different color wrappers.

I think the gold ones are the 'hugs' - maybe they'll have new colors for 4th of July!

Nope, hugs aren't gold. They are silver and white striped foil.

The gold ones have nuts in them. There are gold kisses and gold hugs.

I think you could do a day or two at the park - after that, I think it gets old for adults. I have never spent an entire day at the park as an adult -- just a few hours at night every once in a while. We almost never go to the park when we go visit (This weekend, we were mostly down at the river and not in Hershey, but made a trip to Chocolate World because... well, it's chocolate world!)

The park will be crowded with families and lots of little kids, but there are enough rides for at least a day for adults. No alcohol in the park either. (That matters to some people) They did just open up a few new water rides and last year a few new roller coasters that were really cool. I haven't been there so far this year so I can't comment on the water rides.

It would probably be fun for a day or two. Also, Dorney Park is not too far from Hershey Park, so you could do a day or 2 at Hershey and a day at Dorney if you wanted to.

HTH!
