Found my Valentine kisses... buy one, get one at Stop and Shop, and the little tags in each kiss say 'I love you'. AND, they're burgundy, which is my color scheme! I bought 35 bags of kisses yesterday (50 bucks, for those playing at home) - that was all they had left. I have NO IDEA what to do with them yet... attach to favors, OOT bags, BM gifts, candy dishes on bar at reception, scatter on tables... dunno. But they won't be around in November, so I seized them. Now I just hope they stay fresh until then... any storage suggestions to keep chocolate good?

Re: Hershey Kisses Update!
I honestly would get on the phone with hershey if I were you, bc I unfortunately do not think they will keep until November. I know a lot of people who have worked with Hershey directly to do some kind of specialed stuff. Call them and return and try to return that chocholate hth

You could try freezing them but then you risk them becoming freezer burned. I agree, I think you should call Hershey directly. Good Luck!!!

I called Hershey yesterday trying to find out if I can just buy the burgundy kisses through them, and they said they get thousands of requests for wedding colored kisses, and they don't do them. . I will call them, though and ask how they think I should store them. (and I will test a few out, I'm sure, before then!). Thank you!

They get thousands of requests but they don't do them? Seems to me that they are missing a big part of the choco-market

Re: Hershey Kisses Update!
yes... at the CVS in Oyster Bay, they have gold and burgundy bags. Try a CVS near you, too... they're 50% off now.
Now is a GREAT time to get any cute heart stuff on sale to put in BM's bags or OOT guest baskets. Post Valentine's Day sales are great for us brides!

I agree! Just the fact that they are 'KISSES' screams weddings! They should do like M&M does and take advantage and start wrapping those bad boys in brides' wedding colors!

Re: Hershey Kisses Update!
maybe not the freezer but maybe the refrig? I don't think chocolate goes back so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Damn, I have my truffles in the freezer!!!
Maybe it's time to move those bad boys to the fridge. I was told as long as they don't get stored above 65 - 75 degrees, then they are fine.

how long have you stored your chocolate? I know old chocolate turns white, so I really hope that doesn't happen. Then 50 bucks down the drain! I'm calling Hershey...

Only about 2 weeks. I guess it should be okay since they haven't been frozen for long.
