Our little one decided to arrive two weeks early. Jesse David was born on 4/27/05 (my mom's and dad's birthday). He was five pounds, five ounces and 19 inches long. He's small but healthy. Quick rundown of the events, all of which occurred on 4/27/05:
2PM - lost mucus plug 3:30PM - water broke 4PM - check-up with OB, he confirms water broke and says I am one cm., sends me to the hospital 6PM - arrive at hospital and they assign me to an LDR room. I am now 2-3 cm. They put me on pitocin. 8PM - epidural!!! what a difference. The right side didn't work as well as the left but still helped a lot. It really helped with the back labor. 8:30PM - Now 4cm dilated. 10:15PM - Now 9 cm dilated. Won't let me push until the doctor arrives. 10:30PM - doctor arrives and we start delivery about 10:40PM. 11PM - we meet our new son!!! Everything is good - apgar is 9.
I did need an episiotomy as my labor progressed so quickly and he was a compound presentation (his head and arm were born at the same time). All is well and we are home, happy and healthy.

GREAT Job, and Congratulations on the birth of your darling little boy... They grow up fast, believe me mine will be turning 1 on the 27th.
