if its a holiday weekend people usually send it out about 10 months to a year before the day

I'm the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend. I already sent mine out. I sent them out much earlier than most people, but I had them and didn't want them sitting around anymore. It's a year from the date, so I would get them together soon.

I mean it's your decision. If you want to make sure everyone will be there and want them to know the date, I would send them sooner rather than later. Though I'm sure a lot of people already know the date of your wedding!

First of all, the pic of that dog dressed up has me LOL at work. Ha ha!

I tried to book that weekend and all the halls said it was booked :(

My dream wedding day, for some reason, was the Friday after Thanksgiving and my fiance talked me out of it saying people would be away or visiting family.

Think of it this way, the people who matter will make sure they are at your wedding

We just ordered our save the dates and will prob be getting them late october/november.

Prob send them out Mid November.

I say do whatever you want and how you want it! Its your wedding!

I'm getting married that weekend. I didnt really think it was a hot 'going away' or party weekend like July 4th, etc.

My friend got married on Colombus day weeekend on a sunday and it was great bec there was no work the next day. I had a choice of having my wedd July 6, over the 4th weekend but didnt bec that is an important holiday for many and many people go away, colombus day is in OCt and not soo many people go away

I'm getting married the sunday of that weekend- we have a lot of out of towners- so its easier for them to make a long weekend of it. i am sending out my std's by next month.
