Hey!

Hey Everyone!

I just got engaged a few weeks about and we are thinking about getting married in October 2011. I am starting to look at reception halls this weekend and I was wondering about how long does each appointment take - I'm trying to work on scheduling.

I went to 4 in one day... we mapped out the route to take so we didnt have to drive all over... Our appointment with the Sands and the Coral House went about an hour...

Floral Terrace & the Sandcastle took like a half hour... only because i knew immediately i wasnt interested... so we didnt waste time

Welcome and congrats.

I think it ranges - I've spent and hour at some and 2 hours at others. I would just make enough time for travel. On the day we looked the area in which the first RH we looked at was having a HUGE fair and the whole area had road closures. We actually had to pull over and the BM that we had the appointment with had to come find us and we followed him back to the RH. We had to take all these crazy back roads - it was nuts.

It put us behind the next RH about an hour - the next place was cool about it though.

Thanks so much!! I wasn't expecting such quick responses! My finance and I have been together for over 4 years and just got engaged on August 7th. We are really excited and look forward to planning everything!

congrats and welcome! i would say our appts were about 40 mins each. after the first few you know what to ask and what to look for but sometimes they like to show you around and chat a little too much

It really depends on the place and if you are interested. LIke some of the other girls said you can spend 30 min to 2 hours.....
