we love trying new restaurants, the voodoo chicken sounds good!!! I'll ask him when he gets him. We've been to the italian restaurant in corona, also very good!!!! Mmmm I'm hungry!!!!

OMG i love it...When i took Fh, after finally convincing him to go since he cant eat spicy food and he had the voodoo chicken, he was like OMG this is amazing, and every bite you can tell how much he enjoyed it lol.

ALso if you are interested in something a little different, there is a french and spaniard restaurant in astoria called 718, it is amazing...They even use truffles in their food, i had the salmon with white truffle foam and it was great...I love it bc the portions are perfect size and its one of the only places i actually can have dessert after and still feel great after...their desserts are great too...its also a real cute place, the decor, its small cozy and all lit by candlelight

FH and I LOVE 718!! The serve french fries in the cutest way and they are so good. The owner is wonderful and so is the food.

Re: hey forest hills girls.....my review

We went to Mardi Gras!!!! It was crowded, but they sat us in a corner so that's not too bad. The dim lights and candles gave it a romantic feel.
So, we loved the corn bread and wished they would have gave us ten more!!!!

We ordered crabcakes for appetizers!!! DELICIOUS!!!
Then, I ordered the voodoo chicken and FH ordered a shrimp meal. WHen the plates came I was like WOW!!! Vey big!!! WE both loved out meals!!! It was finger licking good!!! I brought half of it home cause it was so much.

Then, we went home and had some Jr's chocolate cheesecake. So it was the perfect date night!!!

Denise thanks for rec. the plate!! I loved it.

YAY so glad you loved it...its hard giving recommendations sometimes bc what if they hate it lol...MMMMm yeah the voodoo chicken plate is huge but sooo good. Oooo and the cornbread is delicious...if you go there during brunch instead of cornbread they give you a big plate of mini zeppoles that are delicious.

So glad it went well and you had a great night
