Hey girls I'm back

Hey girls I'm back

Well it's been awhile since I've been able to visit the boards. Still adjusting to this mommy thing plus I was having problems logging on since the new boards. I've missed you guys!

So what have I missed?

My MIL came to visit just after Adeline was born. I'm glad she was able to meet her new grandaughter but it was a little tough having company that soon. (she came two days after we came home from the hospital and stayed for 8 days) plus at that time all Adeline really did was eat and sleep. She is so much more aware of things now. Well just after she left Roland had to make another trip up north to get the boat and bring it down to FL. He should be back home this weekend. I can't wait. But at least while he has been gone my mom has been staying with us. Just taking the dog for a walk is a major ordeal now so she does that before and after she goes to work.

I hope everyone is doing well. We've been having some computer problems and I can't get to our pictures for some reason but as soon as we get that figured out I'll post some more pics. I can't believe how much Adeline has changed in just 3 weeks.

Michelle so great to hear from you! I am so glad to hear all is well with Adeline, and it sounds like you have fallen into a routine of sorts which is so great. Lucky to have your mom there now too! (I am so worried about dealing with the dog alone!!!)

Please post pics as soon as you can although I can already imagine her loveliness! Good to have you back- we need all the company we can get!

I am sooo glad that you posted about it being too soon to have company! I just told DH see Michelle said it was too hard to have her MIL that soon so I now have proof

Re: Hey girls I'm back

Thanks girls, it's nice to know that i was missed. Well Roland is finally home again!! Whoo Hoo . Now he will be home until next summer (except for a few short weekend trips here and there).

Michele, how are you feeling? I would suggest that company wait about two weeks. Really the first two weeks all they do is eat and sleep. I kind of felt like my MIL was bored the whole time she was here. And in her third week Adeline started to get a little more aware of things and is awake more now. I wish my MIL had come this week instead.

Re: Hey girls I'm back

I totally agree. My stepmom said my MIL can stay with her for 2 days if she wants to come and see the baby right away. But my MIL doesn't drive so the idea of her just sitting in my house with NOTHING to do and I have to entertain her and figure out meals, is NOT my idea of fun when I am just getting home. I have already said she can stay for a week in late January, when we are Christening the baby. I think that is best for all around.

I am glad that Ron has such a great Maternity Leave
