Hey Holly231, I got one for you.. get THIS from *MY* office....
They are really coming down hard here in the office. Even slightly possible discriminatory, sexually explicite emails of any nature are being montiored.
It used to just be, if you get the email, don't forward it or save it, you can read, keep or delete, no big deal. Now it's a bit more intense.
If we, employees, are in receipt of any emails which could be questionable, we are required to report such emails to our supervisors, regardless if it was visual or not. Such emails are supposed to be replied to with a 'please stop' notice to the sender and then if it continues, that person's IP address will eventually be banned from our servers. Included vendors such as insurance companies we do day to day business with and so forth.
Also, if we get these emails and DON'T report them, they are being monitored and we will then be warned by our supervisors of our lapse in judgement and it can lead to termination of employment.
This is what we were told..
Now.. wanna see crap that has come out of a lawyer's butt (Present company (posters) excluded of course) here's the email that followed shortly after.. I'll remove my company name and put Firm to be 'safe'.
