Grr so I had it all typed up and when I pressed submit, I had to sign in again :(
Okay,
So I'm getting married in October.
Last year in May, My sister was supposed to have her Quinceanera. Unfortunately, My father became very ill and we had to put the Quinceanera on hold. We had already put a deposit on a cute little banquet hall by me. The owner was understanding but of course, was unable to return the deposit.
What he did do for us though, was offer us the opportunity to use the deposit towards another even within a year. So we had a year to use it. We really didn't have an even to hold so we let it hang around for a while. My sister ended up having her Quince at a more affordable place andwith the help of her godfather. So now we have this hall with a deposit to expire in May.
My mom came up with the idea that we should use it towards my bridal shower. I think its great except it would have to be in May(the latest).
Is that too early for a bridal shower? I really don't want to lose the deposit. It's $500.00 that sometimes, is hard to come by. What do you ladies think? Help! hehe
TIA

Re: Hey Ladies I need your advice!
Most Bridal showers are like 3 months before... so I don't think May would be that big of a deal. I wouldnt let $500 go down the drain!

Why waste the money? I say plan it and even ask if maybe they could extend it just just a few months. Ya never know they may be willing if you pick a specific date.

Def. have it in May to save the deposit. It is early but it will be fine. My friend who got married in April had her shower in November (5 months before) it was totally fine.

Re: Hey Ladies I need your advice!
I would say have your bridal shower there, dont waste the $500.00.
Another option....See if anyone is intrested in having a party there and maybe they can pay you the $500.00 in cash.
