-The Royalton

-Garden City Hotel - Beautiful - way out of my budget. I was quoted $220 per person.

-Village Club at Lake Success
-Roslyn Claremont Hotel
-Glen Cove Mansion - I love this place! I took FH here for a weekend on his bday one year...the grounds are absolutely beautiful...the hotel itself is great too.

-The Woodlands
-Harbor Links

Saw the Village Club - they have $1000 site fee and you have to pay extra for valet parking ($175 per valet I think). Three different menu options - $105 pp for the cheapest up to $150pp.

I also went to a wedding there a few weeks ago and there were some mild issues (ran out of wine glasses at the Cocktail Hour, literally couldn't move in the room the CH was held in b/c it was so crowded (she had 270 ppl)), but other than that it was really nice and the food was good.

FM me if you want more info.

Re: hey ladies...need some help...

obviously i am biased but LOVE the Woodlands and can't wait to have my wedding there!

one wedding at a time, beautiful 120-acre grounds, old-fashioned mansion so its different from your run of the mill catering hall, outdoor area for ceremony or cocktail hour, the people i have been working with have been great!, food is delicious...basically love everything about it lol!!

i looked at roslyn claremont-it was pretty, but it is small, they only do 1 wedding at a time, the prices were not bad at all, but VERY limited photo areas

The Royalton - There is an 09er getting married there Kerry John I think? My friend is getting married there on a friday in Oct. I am sure it is amazing

-Garden City Hotel - I went to look there. I can give very detailed info over FM.

-Village Club at Lake Success -- went to Bar Mitzvah there and was amazing! Food was excellent, the drive up was awesome. Loved it!

-Roslyn Claremont Hotel
-Glen Cove Mansion - We were going to look there, but I could barely understand the event planner on the phone and was very turned off. Very superficial reasoning, but its hard to make decisions sometimes!

-The Woodlands - was going to look there but fell in love with ECC first.

-Harbor Links - Went to E-party in Nov on a Sat night. Very pretty. Was very drunk and do not remember much of the night.

-The Royalton - I am having my wedding here next June, so of course I am biased to it! It has a very elegant, but not stuffy feel, very intimate, only one wedding at a time. It's expensive, but I feel like the prices are reasonable for what you are getting. Some places I looked at were more expensive but didn't offer as much of what we wanted.

-Glen Cove Mansion - Looked here. The outside/grounds are very grand. That and the lobby were my favorite parts. However I wasn't a fan of the ballroom (shape and carpeting), and also the fact that hotel guests will be going through the lobby area while you are having your cocktail hour, etc. kinda weird.

-The Woodlands - Looked here as well. The grounds are also nice and the outside is pretty. Inside decor wasn't really my taste, and also I don't know if it was the day or what, but my mom and I thought the lobby/carpeting smelled really musty, which was a definite turnoff. Weren't thrilled about the aspect of people golfing nearby while your wedding is going on outside.

I haven't looked at any of the other places, but obviously, they are all really nice top-rate places. Either way, I'm sure she can't go wrong!
