Hey Look: A Wedding Question!!!

What are some extra stuff that you just HAD to have at your wedding?? (You know, aside from the usual stuff)... is there anything that you and/or FH said 'I don't care what the cost, we gotta get this!!'??? I think this should be interesting and should get the boards a movin' in a wedding-related way!!

Here we go: FH just HAD to have the chocolate fountain so we splurged and added that. We are also saving our butts off to afford a string quartet at the Church b/c I think it's so pretty. I wish we could have afforded to add an extra 30 min on the CH but we can't. What about everyone else???

Wait we're going to talk about weddings? I'm so confused.

FH and I had to have an ice cream sundae bar. We wanted an ice cream wedding cake, but I didn't think that would hold up too well sitting out in the RH.

My fiance had to have a calypso band during cocktail hour. I am cool with the idea but i am a little uneasy about the extra $800- only b/c when all is said and done we are spending a little over $4000 for dj/band. and my budget was originally $1500

other than that, there is nothing i have to have aside from my fiance at the altar!

im not sure if this counts but i would say the plasma screens from the dj, with the photo montage.......without and def a vienese hour ....no questions asked!!!

FH needed to have all the Seafood at the Cocktail Hour. He didn't care how much, he just wanted it.

FH wanted the seafood boat and a viennesse hour. We got a great deal on the seafood boat pp and a mini viennesse thrown in for free.

The vienese hour was a must do but I have to say the RH gave us a great price and inc. a choc fountain. It really didn't break our piggy bank BUT....

The band we wanted and booked is a fortune. Yea the band is what probably hurt us in the pockets most.

We had to have (well I really wanted it) the Vienese hour and it comes w/ the chocolate fountain!

We also wanted the plasma TV which the DJ is providing.

don't worry honey-- the more you plan, i'm SURE something (or a few things) will come up that you'll want to splurge on-- it ALWAYS does LOL!! there were SO many things we wanted to get but we had to really limit ourselves b/c just the basics cost so much!

I wanted an ice cream cake too....too bad it would probably melt before everyone got to eat it.

I'm not really sure either - I think my biggest splurge might be that I want to get calligraphy done for the outer envelopes. Other than that we've both been pretty easy going about everything else!!

The only thing I 'must have' is some interest in planning from my FH. So far I haven't gotten it!

He just keeps saying,' Yeah, OK, do what you want, why can't we elope?' I'm still not quite sure if it's a good thing that I can do what I want or a bad thing.
