Called Sachem today - they are TOTALLY giving me the run around - they told me that the budget is not what they thought (don't districts not know about that yet) and they think they can only hire one counselor now! Then the chair told me to call the other lady for more info!!

i went on an interview for sachem but i just heard they hired many internal people

many schools are doing their hiring after the budget
sachem hired the kindergarten teachers that they needed but they didn't do the hiring for retireees and others for next year yet until they know their budget

Hey Michal wondering where you've been??? Yeah Sachem tends to do that, they right now are very uncertain about the budget, Ive been in this district for a long time now and it is the same crap every year with the budget, especially this year with the openingof the new schools. The same thing happened to me when i was hired, i replaced a retiree and even the guy put in his retirement papers in early June they didnt 'officially' hire me for his position till August. They play the waiting game big time. Im voting for the budget so hopefully enough people vote to pass other wise next year will be a mess, they really need to hire a lot of new people to fill these new schools.
