hey shoe girlies

hey shoe girlies

Quick question:

Can I shave an inch or 1/2 in off a pair of heels? I want to alter this pair of shoes where the heel has seen better days, but I'm afraid of it affecting the arch of the shoe... what do you think?

well i would take it to a shoe repair guy. he might be able to just fix ur heel for you without having to shave it off. its not that expensive either. If not, im sure you can shave it down.

I'm sure that whatever the issue with the heel is, if th erest of the show is in decent enough shape to be worth it, a cobbler can fix it without altering the architecture of the shoe.

Bring it to the shoemaker, can't hurt!

Definitely take it to a shoe-maker. I wear mine out til I'm clicking all the way down the hall of my office. Hehe. And the shoe-maker is always able to fix it!

ETA: Only one time he wasn't able to fix it and that was because my dog ATE the heel. He said he could replace the whole heel, but the color would be off and at that point it wasn't worth it. I just bought the same shoes in a diff. color since the other was discontinued.
