This was a crazy week for me...my students were antsy and I was sick as a dog...but I made it....so did you!!! Enjoy your 11 days off...I don't know what to do with myself right now! lollllll

yay!! we made it, welll--almost.
i have to work today (saturday) 8-12 at my school...i get paid and its worth the money but still....it is not fun at all ill be on vacation as of 12 pm today!!

No, I had to give work since the 3rd grade ELA is Jan 8-9. We only have 4 study days when we get back. The past 4 years I taught 4th grade and we always gave a vacation packet of ELA multi-choice passages with short/long-answer questions. But this year we were told to assign about 8 passages from the kids' new reading comp workbooks as test prep. All review of reading strategies.

And I brought home a bunch of things to grade. Why do I have a feeling ALL my work will stay in my bag untouched until I get back on Jan 2nd???

LOL I know what you mean! I have some essays, exams and reports in my bag to grade. I'm collecting book reports and take-home exams from them the day we get back....the grading never ends!

Your kiddies are lucky! lol I only gave work because they've had two months to do this project and I made the due date January 2nd, so that they had the break to finish it if needed. The take-home test was a holiday gift from me lol They were jumping for joy when they saw the test lol

I teach at a private school that wouldn't let us give them work over the break. They think it should be family time. How ridiculous!!

That's awesome! Is FH off with you too? My FH couldn't take off all week since he's lower on the totem pole lol He was off Thursday and yesterday (I wasn't though : ( ) and he's off today, tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday with me though...I feel like we have a month-long vacation! So exciting!

Me too! I am getting over a cold, double ear infection AND bronchitis! The kids were ALL sick and since I have over 100 students a day, the germs are always there! Glad you're feeling better....I prayed that I'd feel better and most importantly that I'd be able to TASTE for Christmas lol

The literacy and math coach in our school always give a vacation packet. Before they did, I always gave work. I teach 3rd grade and they have the ELA test January 8th!

I hear ya...my kids have the ELA January 15th adn 16th...can't WAIT to get it over with already!
