i posted this on BHB, but im wondering if anyone has looked into rehearsal dinner yet. If you have, whats the price per person you have been given. I'm just trying to make FMIL feel better about how much the RD is gonna cost her...

Re: heyyy question...
I think it's going to be a big range depending on the place, buffet or sit down and if you want open bar. One place I liked was going to be more than $60 pp with open bar..

Re: heyyy question...
I know... I am in the same boat... FMIL keeps asking me for places that I want to have it at... I need to find my florist first lol...
I have thought about the Carriage House but have not found out a price... my honeymoon details are higher on the list than this.. lol

I am going to have mine at a place for about $25...I think that is only going to include wine and soda though...Not for nothing but I really dont feel like spending a ton on the rd!

Re: heyyy question...
Ours is probably going to be a catered BBQ at FH's parent's house. We want it to be very laid back as it's probably going to be the night before the wedding and I'm sure no one (especially me) is going to want to get dressed up before hand.
Usually the RD's are right after the ceremony rehearsal. They're just a time to relax with family and the BP one last time before the big day. Generally the bride and groom give out BP gifts, and sometime's MOH makes a speech.

Re: heyyy question...
i got a whole bunch of different quotes. it could be anywhere from 20 dollars to 50. we are going with the garden grill probably which is in the 20 dollar range. a few hotels we looked at for blocking rooms and rd's were closer to 50 dollars though

Re: heyyy question...
i can honestly & happily say that FMIL will be dealing with this on her own. when it comes time i am sure she will ask us where we want to have it but ultimettly it will be her choice.
at the rehersal dinner you usually just sit down with the bridal party & those who have helped in the planning process & have a nice dinner. some people do a rehersal at the church before & some just tell the bridal party who they will be walking down the aisle with. usually will the bride & groom will say a little thank you to everyone & give out the bridal party presents. at this time other members of the family & bridal party may ask to make a speech & toast.

I havent looked into it yet, but there are two REALLY good restuarant's i love going to right down the road from the church...I am going to give the names to FMIL when it gets closer... (I just dont want to have it at her house...I do not want a potluck dinner at her house 30 mins away from the church...I gave in on the engagement party, I will not give in on this...)

RD will be at my FSIL's house hosted by her and my FMIL. I am not sweating about this. I only hope my family feels comfortable.
