Hi Ladies! I was 2011 bride, but got cold feet this fall and postponed our wedding indefinitely. Now, with FH and I back on track, I am WAY behind on EVERYTHING! Where should I start- after the RH!!

Also, with us not changing our date, my sister's husband will be deployed at the time of the wedding. Am I being selfish for not wanting to move my wedding and not worrying about my sister's feelings? She is my MOH and I dont mean to intentionally hurt her, but both me and FH think 2011 will be easier for us than 2012, and there is NO WAY for 2010! Its sad he will not be in any family pics at the wedding. .

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

I don't think you should have to wait for your BIL to come hom to get married. If he's in the military, there's no guarantee he'd be home for the later date anyway, right?

Anyway, You're not behind, don't worry. This site may make it seem that way, but you've got plenty of time. People plan great weddings in much shorter spans.

Take care of your RH and ceremony first. Then Photo/Video and Music. Then dress, limos and flowers.

I've been engaged since August and all I have is the church and RH, so don't worry.

I know how important it would be to have your BIL there; but like some have said is there a 100% guarantee that he will be back even for the 2012 date??

Welcome back, and don't worry about not having much done - all I have done is booking the RH. About to get back to work on things, but you still have plenty of time, especially if you're fall 2011.

As for BIL it's really up to you. If it's really important that he be there then try and move the date so that he is more likely to be able to make it (though ITA about the military never being definite about deployment...it's tough). If him not being there doesn't bother you then go ahead as planned. The hardest part will just be dealing with your sister, and I'm sure if you explain the situation (and it's not that you just are trying not to include him) to her she'll understand; besides, he'd be getting deployed whether or not you had put the wedding on hold in the first place, so the situation now is as if nothing had even happened on that front.
