Hi Everyone!

Hi everybody, I am new here! I have been reading for a while, patiently waiting for the big proposal so I could join the boards officially and start planning. I am sooo excited! I hope to get married next summer, but I don't know how realistic that is. Am I crazy to think it can be done? I am also a MOH in June 2005!

I think you should give it a shot for next summer. Start right away though...call around to some of the reception sites you have in mind and see if they have any dates next summer still available. Since you're a MOH in June, maybe shoot for end of July/beginning of August just to put a bit of space between the 2 weddings.

Thanks, you guys. Yeah, I think I am gonna go for the end of August or even the first week of September. I am a teacher so I feel like its easiest to get married in the summer.

hi, and congratulations on your engagement!!
i definitely think you can get the planning done for next summer - the only thing you may have to be flexible with is the date. look at it this way: less time to stress out

Totally doable. My friends each planned gorgeous weddings for last Sept and one started in Feb and the other in April. Make a plan then DO IT!

Congratulations on your engagement.

We got engaged at the end of December 2003 and are getting married on Oct 3, 2004. That's 9 months. You could definately plan it by August. Just get started right away. I gave myself due dates to get things booked.

congrats and welcome. Go for next summer. We areonly having an 11 month engagement. You can definitely do it. The tricky part is that you have less time to save money!

Welcome and congrats! Good luck with your planning - I think a late August wedding is doable, as long as you don't wait too long to start planning! Enjoy it!
