Hi everyone!

Hi girls!!! I haven't been on the boards too much lately and just thought I'd pop in to say hi. I had my laser eye surgery on Friday, PRK. I was in terrible pain Friday night and have been uncomfortable and blurry since. I had my recheck yesterday and the DR, 5 days post op, and my DR said my corneas have not grow back at all yet. He thinks the bandage contact that was put on my eye was too tight and the cells couldn't grow back underneath. He switched the bandage contacts yesterday and I have a recheck again today to see if that has helped. UGGGHHH, I can't wait for this to heal so I can see perfectly!!!! I woke up at 2:00am last night because of pain in my right eye and couldn't fall back asleep for 2 hours. Then I slepp until 12pm. He also wants me to come back for a recheck on Friday to see the surgeon. It's hard because I have to take the subway to the LIRR to mineola to my FH's job so he can then drive me to my appointment. Yesterday I had to have someone help me buy my tickets on that machine (I couldn't see it) and then I almost got on the wrong train.

On a different note, we've decided to get married in Jamaica instead of Mexico. The legal requirements in Jamaica are much more relaxed and I would be able to have my ceremony in English instead of Spanish. I'm just trying to decide on a hotel and a month at this point. I really liked September but I believe that's supposed to be hurrican season and I heard it can rain alot in September. The high season for Jamaica is Dec-Apr. I want to pick a date that is conveinent for everyone. The hotels we are thinking of so far are; Riu Ocho Rios, Riu Negril, Breezes Runaway Bay, Gran Bahia Jamaica, and Iberostar Rose Hall. I'm leaning toward Riu Ocho Rios and FH likes Breezes. Too many tough decisions. I like Riu Ocho Rios because then if fiances allow we can married off the resort at The Ruins at the Falls Restaurant nearby at the base of the waterfall and have our reception there. I love it!!! Here's a pic....

Re: Hi everyone!

Yay Maureen! It's so good to hear from you! I'm sorry things have been difficult after your surgery but I'm sure everything will heal fine soon and your eyes will be good as new. Hooray for no more glasses or contacts!

I am glad that things are going easier for the wedding though (other than differences in opinion about the resorts Why do men have to be so difficult? ) That place looks absolutely breathtaking so no matter what I would totally push for there!

Good luck with everything! We miss you so get better soon!!

Hi Maureen

I haven't been on the boards as much myself. Trying to get things situated with personal matters. It's kind of picking up now. The place you picked is gorgeous. It seems very romantic. As always I wish the best for you. Keep up posted and likewise with me.
