Hi Everyone.............

I already posted this on BHB, just want everyone to get it.

Just thought I'd check in. I went to the ADA's office and without saying too much, I WILL say that the family is NOT happy.
The laws for Drunk Driving STINK. It's ridiculous how much they get away with.
You take someone's life and you basically get a slap on the wrists

I'm very upset. It's just not fair.
I will fill you in more in a couple of weeks after the first court case, when I can speak in more detail.

effective Monday 3/21/03, the Nassau County District
Attorney will hold all DWI clients to the charge if their reading is .16 or
higher. This applies to first time offenders.

Just a thought...usually many of us go through life saying 'I'm only one person, what can I do'...well here is an opportunity that we can all get together and DO something as a group...be a force..

I think this is a subject we can ALL agree on..
What can we do?

Write letters? protest?

there has to be something...any ideas?

Erica, thank you for that wonderful idea and show of support. At this point, anything will help, not just my situtation, but anyone who's ever been a victim of Drunk Driving.
The laws need to get more strict, so these people with no regard for themselves or anyone else can learn their lesson.

I am still exhausted, but a little better than yesterday. The sleeping pill helped a lot.
