Hi everyone...helpme..confused about photo people

hi there...I read a bunch of posts but i am really nervous about my decision regarding photo and video. What are your suggestions and have you seen actual friends albumns? I am kind of looking for a mixture of posed, spontaneous, interesting photos at a reasonable price froma reliable photographer. Am I asking for too much? I checked out Jeffreys, Glenmar, Kreigler and a couple of others and they all seem great but I dont see any really fun spontaneous shots. What do you guys think of those and others?

What about video??

thanks,

Carly

WELCOME CARLY! We are using B rett M atthews For both photo and video! They are pricy but I love their work. I had a hard time finding a photographer because I was a photo Major in College! Very picky. They do all different.

I booked Patken.

I saw a few albums and was blown away by them. I booked them on the spot. I never had any doubts about them

They capture everything and have fun with it. They want you to have fun and they have fun with you.

Never heard of them, but your best bet is to go to several photographer's studios and look through their books. It all depends on how much you want to spend too.
If you look back in the past weeks pages, you can see pics from other girls weddings too. I've seen some beautiful work on here alone!

I used Vivid Video and Photography and I was very happy with them. A lot of girls on here are using Patken and their pictures are beautiful also.

Welcome to the site!!!

Who were you thinking of, what is you est budget, where are you getting married/ nassau-suffolk?

I am using DUET, its about $3K for photo and video, I get 2 photographers, B&W and color. Lots of people have/are using them too. I went to 10 photographers before I found one that I liked, in my budget. Vivid's pics were great, just a bit higher then I could go. Patken works in your budget, however what I needed and my budget didn't agree.

Good luck and welcome!

Another option is Marco Photography in Holbrook, My friend used them and her album was very nice. Another friend just booked them and got a great package for about 3000 (for photos).
I forgot....I agree with Nora, we looked at Duet and really liked their work If you email Nicole @ Duet, I am sure she would be willing to email you the price sheet!

FM = Forum Mail. There's a button under everyone's post. It's sort of like email - you can send private messages to someone.

i heavily suggest imagine studios. the minute i saw other girls proofs on this site i knew they were the only photographers for us. we also checked out like 7 other places and they were the best in our opinion.

Hi and Welcome!

I am also a big fan of Duet. We interviewed about 10 photographers before we found Duet (actually I owe the girls on this board for suggesting Duet, THANKS!)

I have to say finding a photographer/videographer in our price range with the quality we wanted was very challenging for us.

It's worth checking them out.

Good luck!

I booked Patken for photography..I went off Jennbaby's pictures that she posted, they came out really nice and then i went in to look at Steves work, I was able to see a few albums of his work alone. He does photojournalism, traditional, whwtever you wnat. Their prices were GREAT!!! To be honest with you..I dont think their web site does them justice. Had I not seen Jennbabys pics..i probably wouldnt have gone in because their website did nothing for me..but I visted quite a few places and when I went in, I was SOOOO glad i did. We got a great package, for a great price. For video we booked wild rose, they are AWESOME and so is their web site. Good luck..its a hard decision, I know. But once you do it..you';ll feel so reieved!!
