Hi Girls, I'm back... *very long*

Hello Friends,

This may or may not be long because I don't know how long I can sit up, today is the first day I feel really down in the dumps, between not being able to sit, stand, or lay comfortable for more than 30 mins at a time, and not being able to eat like a normal person, today i had a little breakdown of sorts, Michael freaked out of course but my mom held my hand and made me feel better, Michael is now a little better because one of his co workers had the same sugery and when he went back to work he went straight to talk to her, she reassured him, everything she feels is normal, not to worry.

Okay my next thing is

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! Ladies when Laurie showed up at my door about 30 mins after I got home from the hospital, I was like OMG, what are you doing here...lol it was great to see her and the flowers are AMAZING!!!! Of course I have no camera here *humph!* but one is sorta like a sample of what i wanted my centerpieces to be, Laurie said that one is from all of you wonderful ladies and it was funny because Michael was worried since we hadn't seen any of Lauries samples live and in person, would we like them the day of the wedding, so last night he comes to me and says honey, I'm soooo sorry I yelled at you about the flowers they are soooo beautiful you were right about laurie, i was like I told you!!! *smile* The other flowers were from Laurie with beautiful orangie yellow roses and butterflies.. I mean ladies both arrangements are BEYOND AMAZING!! They are right across from me and my room smells amazing because of them too, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for thinking of me and praying for me during this week..

Part Two will be in the next post... Sorry if my spelling is totally off today.. I lost my glasses somewhere..

Re: Hi Girls, I'm back... *very long*

Okay so I will start from the beginning..

Sunday night my parents, Michael and I went out for my last real meal..lol atleast for awhile..we went to Spazzo's and I had chicken parm with angel hair pasta, but ended up eating Michael's ravioli's.. if you go to eat there I highly recomment their ravioli's..lol
I was a nice evening and we had a good time, then we had to drive my parents over to the Red Rood Inn and then Michael and I went back to his parents house for the night, it seemed like we slept for about a min, since we finally fell asleep around 1 and had to get up at 4:15 am to be at the hospital at 5am

We get to the hospital, they called me right in, I was the first surgery of the day, so I got the first bed and they started me on IV right away and then Mike and my parents came to sit with me, and we prayed and talked for awhile, the three of them were all sooo worried and I was pretty much as calm as ever. I hope I'm that calm on my wedding day.. I was surprised, the only thing I was nervous about going into the operation was the idea that I would have an epurdural, but I ended up just getting an epurdural shot, not the iv type (hope that makes sense) that was the only time i cried cause even tho they numb you, it hurts..I remember talking to the doctors for a few mins complaining i couldn't feel my butt anymore and the next thing I know.. I'm waking up in the recovery room...gotta love those drugs..lol

The first night was a blur at first I remember the nurses and the doctors checking on me, i don't know what time it was but my parents said it was some time in the afternoon when they let them in to see me, I was a little loopy but more aware, and I had three iv's a tube down my nose and oxygen, and these leg warmers than pump your calves to keep you from getting clots..

When they came to see me later on during the evening I was much better, more awake and was able to talk to my parents and my sister, they were all surprised how awake I was compared to my last surgery...

Day two was another story I was in so much pain, my ribs and breast bone were killing me and no matter how much meds they gave me I was in PAIN!! I couldn't find a comfortable position for my life and everything bothered me..

Day three I was better.. less pain still uncomfortable and then I became the human pin cushion because they would come to prick me with something every 2 hours, either a shot or to check my blood, it was torture..

Day four, yesterday I actually woke up feeling pretty good, I was able to walk around for the first time with out losing my breath from the pain but by the time I got back to my seat I was starting to feel the major pain again.. But after breakfast (15 cc of yogurt) yes 15 cc and that's about 1/2 tablespoon.. I'm suppose to eat that every much every hour.. it's really annoying but neccessary... and some pain meds I was ready to go, so I started packing a much as I could..and I was able to wash up in the bathroom by myself which was re assuring..

I have to mention Winthrop Hospital is wonderful, the nurses are sooo friendly and so supportive, even when I fought them the first night they made me walk, they were stern but still supportive.. that was really the only time I was a bitchy patient..lol My surgeron was wonderful and he told me it was a difficult procedure since my hernia was pretty bad, plus i had a lot of scar tissue and my stomach was mashed up against my liver so he had alot of work to do to straighten me out.. He came to check on me everyday, the second day twice since I was uncomfortable and in paiin.. which I thought was really great, the residents harrassed me every morning at 6 am, I used to call them the children cause they all come to poke and stare..like a science project..lol

Okay girls that's all for now.. I will be around more later my my back is starting to hurt and the visiting nurse is coming soon to check on me..and I want to shower before she comes..

My love to you all!!!!!!!
