We are trying to decide between places. We are going to one place this weekend with our families.
I kept having some reservations about this one place so on my way home from work (I work in Queens and drive).... I stopped by...like a crazy person and did a whole tour all over again.
Thank goodness they were great and I got to see a cocktail hour all set up (company dinner or something tonight).
I am starting to feel better and I guess I'll see how it goes this weekend!
But, am I normal? Does everyone go to reception sites over and over again - and without their FH?

I didn't go to any with FH. My parents are paying for the reception and FH didn't want to be involved since he wasn't contributing to that area. He told me that wherever I booked it would be wonderful with him! I took him to the expo they had after we booked...and of course he loved it. No you're not crazy....!!!

They didn't treat me as crazy... We'll see how this weekend goes cause if I don't book soon, my head is going to twist and fall off!
Thanks for your 'not crazy thoughts' - FH was just a little peeved that I went...but its not my fault that he lives all the way in stinky jersey!

oh and he HAS gone once and will go again, so there is no need to be really mad...
i was just trying to see if the cross island parkway/jericho tpke intersection was pretty... and then while i passed by i couldn't help it!

you are far from crazy! You have to make sure it is something you want...right before we booked, I got home early from work & took my mom to see the Floral Terrace without FH to see if I still had the same feeling...well I surely did & we booked 2 weeks later!

you are not the only one and i still keep going back i went back again last week to straighten somethings out that were bothering me. everyone thinks i am crazy but at least i can sleep at night.

ok, yeah. thats pretty much how i feel. even though I am trying to make it work there, i still have/had reservations about certain things.
i am very visual and need to imagine spaces and what will be there. also, i really needed to see the colors at this particular place because its not a place where 'any color would go' - the architecture and color scheme is like 'this is what you should do'....so i need to make sure im cool with that.
well, wish me luck....hopefully we will book before xmas. too many girls getting engaged now and i am feeling the PRESSURE!

Leese--good luck with your decision! Don't feel crazy. In general, I change my mind about EVERYTHING at least 30 times and it drives FH crazy!!! Even after we booked our hall, I was like 'I wish we'd gone with X.....(insert my forlorn look here-- )'
