Hi -

Sorry about the double posting, I made a mistake!

Well I just wanted to introduce myself, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago (after 2+ years of dating) so I'm ready to get married. I am trying to plan an April or May 04 wedding.
These boards are very helpful and welcoming and I hope I'll be able to spend some time on them. Just today I was able to get ideas about bands from searching old posts.

I'm definitely seeing that you ladies are very friendly - thanks for making a newbie feel welcome.
I realize we have to get moving on a reception place, but before I do anything I have to meet with my church, which we have scheduled this week.

Again, thanks for the warm welcome! Now I'm going to go check out some posts.

Hi and welcome. Happy planning. We're all here to help. As soon as you book a date with your church, start seeing reception halls since they book up really fast - sometimes 2 years in advance. Good luck.

Donna, sounds like you and I are on teh same page. I have been engaged for about 2.5 weeks (although after 4 years of dating) and wanted to plan an April or May 04 wedding. My advice (after visiting 6 halls this weekend) get a list of halls and go check them out asap! My FH and I couldnt get a Saturday (and only a few Fridays were open) for those months so we are booking a June wedding instead! Let me know the places you are thinking and I may be able to give some insight as its only been a day since I was there. GOOD LUCK!
