I'm back from a long weekend. I've missed you all. I feel SO out of the loop! what's going on?!!!
Maine was great- the food (LOBSTER) is so good and so were all of the seafood soups! I highly recommend a jaunt up there! I even did a little outlet shopping and got some great deals!
Kissy-not too many black flies (thank GOD) but thanks so much for the heads up.

Yea, we lucked out with the black flies...There were still some, but not like in previous years! The lobster is so yummy...Did you get to see the sun at least???

kissy- we were able to see the sun on Saturday- the day we drove from Boston to Bar Harbor. it was beautiful. even in the rain, Maine is quite charming. we even drove from Bar Harbor further down east to Lupec and the West Quoddy Light house (the easternmost point of the U.S.) even in the rain it was beautiful.
cmastro- for the most part we were in Bar Harbor/Mt. Desert Island. we went to this lobster pound called Thurstons- it was awesome. lobster was so sweet and succulent....we ate way too much! I highly recommend a trip up there!

So glad you had a great weekend Jess!! I'd love to go to Maine, esp for the lobster! But I just have to share this worthless piece of information that I remember from 6th grade social studies. There are actually a couple of Alaskan islands that sit on the other side of the prime meridian, so technically they're the easternmost point of the US. Wow, never thought I'd actually get to use that lil tidbit of info I've had stored for so long!!
