Its been one heck of the last 2 years and due to issues with my life...-i had to post date my original wedding date.....I was a little sad and didnt want to believe it at first, but after speaking to my RH they were very accomodating! They understood my situation and were ok with changing the date....
Needless to say, im now officially a 2012 bride! and...HAPPY about it! LOL
I can actually plan and organize within my budget without worrying or scrambling for things....and now my FH is even excited instead of worried about the budget LOL.
Anyhow--heres my lowdown: My name is Amy, Im 26 and the funny thing is that I am actually married! BUT only through the civil court. We got married last August '09. In addition to that, I have a beautiful baby boy! So.....these are just two of the things that have happened to me...
I always dreamed of getting married in a white gown--and now, it will come true!! Now I have to start planning & saving (cuz we are paying for the wedding by ourselves)!! IM SO HAPPY! AND EXCITED!!! NICE TO MEET YOU LOVELY BRIDES OF 2012~!! LOOKING FORWARD TO CHATTING & MAYBE MEETING UP! :)

thank you thank you thank you!! This is actually my SECOND time pushing it backk LOL. it was really hard for me, but i had to face reality. We just werent financially ready or personally ready, especially with the baby etc....but our RH have been so great, i couldnt ask for more :)
My son keeps me focused and happy. His smile is very rewarding ! thanks again!!

Congrats on becoming a 2012 bride. You absolutely did the right thing. Your son is way more important than a wedding. And that is great that now you FH is excited about it as well.
Whenever I tell people that I am getting married in 2012 they are always like why are you waiting so long. My response is always 'If you would like to pay for the wedding we would be more than happy to move it up to 2011'

Hi Amy, welcome and congratulation. I had to push my wedding back from Nov 29, 2008 to Nov 27, 2010. We need a place to live so we brought the house first. The ladies of 2012 are wonderful. If you ever need to vent I'm hear to listen. Remember to breath when things get become a pain. #1 Nothing comes between you and FH the wedding is one day but your love for each other is stronger.

thanks so much guys! its really nice to know that i have your advice, support and opinions :) it means alot to me...especially since we are all basically going through the same thing except differently.

Congrats & welcome to the 2012 boards!!! We love new people! We are having a 2 year engagement bc we would not be able to afford a wedding in a year. 2 years seems to be perfect! Financially we think we can do it...we are paying for everything ourselves!

Welcome Amy and congrats on already being married, the baby boy, and the maturity to realize the pushback was the best thing for you two!
I was in the exact same boat last year. We had our son in March 2009, got married this past February and we are doing the real deal in 2012, and hopefully at CB too, and in August!! Could we possibly have anything else in common on here Congrats again!!

We had to push our date from 2011 to 2012 as well... it's not easy paying for weddings!!!
