Hi, my name is Heather, and I almost made my screename Fatbride.
I GAINED 15 pounds AFTER I order my dress & have only lost about 3.
'make the committment & stick to it' is a foreign concept to me. I used to be interested in eatign healtier & excercising, but it was more of a hobby when Fh was in school. And I didn't loose any weight.
Now wedding planning is my hobby.
I have ni interst trying to loose weight, I only have interest in looking better. I know so vain & lazy!

Hi, my name is Sandra, and I am fffffa, oh i can't say it!!!! I am 'round'....! how's that? I still feel like I am a size 4, but put a one in front of that now....I have lost almost 10lbs. Re: Hi, My name is Rachel and................
Well I just have to add myself to this hysterical list
My name is Felicia, and I am the incredible growing woman.
I was a dieting nut before the wedding and somehow managed to lose 25 pounds before the big day (took me about 6-7 months to achieve this feat). Truth be told, though, I was still about 10 pounds heavier than the 'ideal' weight I visualized myself at on my wedding day
However given my extreme love and passion for food , combined with my hatred for exercise, and also given the fact that I am now MARRIED and have no 'goal' of fitting into a white dress nor a bathing suit in mind, I have miraculously managed to gain a whopping 12 POUNDS since my wedding just over 2 weeks ago!!!
12 pounds in 15 days!! That is just sick!
I mean sure, we were on a 10-day cruise and never stopped eating .. but 12 frikkin pounds?
Well if that doesn't qualify me as the biggest piggy on these boards, nothing else does!

Hmm, see, my lard tends to migrate to my arse and thighs. They are like magnets, I SWEAR. ARGH!
Thanks for the advice everyone. I know what I need to do to lose weight, I just feel like I am completely imobile when it comes to doing it. FREAKING LARD! I was doing so well for so long and now I'm just tubby. Tubby ol' Rachel
Rach I'm right there with ya in the unmotivated phase. I just keep gaining and gaining and not doing a thing about it! It's so hard to. Yummy (free) cookies and fro yo at work, a DH that cooks, going out to eat, it just all adds up! And my work schedule is different too than before I gained. And plus after my surgery in late 2001 I think I was determined to 'show' everyone (or maybe me) that I was 'OK' and could eat thing again after being sick for 6 months and not eating alot at all.
But I refuse to TTC until I lose 60lbs and I want to be skinner before I go to Ireland in Nov. I was doing WW for a few weeks but you knwo what? I don't like the WW ladies in Rockefeller Center (the ones that do the meetings). I like them personally - I know 1 or 2 of them outside of WW, but either they don't motivate me enough and one is (IMO) a complete ***** and has insulted me EVERY time I go there. So I think I'll stick to SBD and start going back to the gym or walk around the neighborhood.
Rachel if I lived near you I'd come over and make you walk with me. Trust me once you start working out it gets easier. I used to walk daily before I got sick in 2001.

Ah, starting updates, I see. My name is still Kristin, and I'm still fat. In fact, I tried on my dress today and I couldn't zip it up, because I gained weight instead of losing it. It's so depressing...

Girls...I think instead of just adding to a thread talking about how fat we are, we need to do something about it. Lets all try something together. Maybe we can do WW, and post our days points, and exercise and stuff. We need to motivate each other, not just read how depressed we all are

Re: Hi, My name is Rachel and................
I am LMAO reading these posts (how many activity points did I just use??) I am so glad to know I am not alone. Eleven months and counting till the big day and I have about 20 lbs to lose!!!!! I lose, gain, lose,gain...it's really nice
It's also harder when your FH is like, 'you look fine honey, let's go out to dinner...'
Help anyone???

Re: Hi, My name is Rachel and................
I figured I would be the first guy to join this thread. My name is Scott and I am fat....Hey that was fun. Since two weeks before Danielle and I's wedding I started eating everything and everything...maybe it was from nerves...I dont know....But after the wedding...on the Honeymoon I gained 6lbs and since I came back I have eaten mostly garbage and stuff that I shouldnt be eating.
I am ready to take a stand. I think this coming monday I am going to start eating healthier and get back into walking at lunchtime. I used to walk 2 to 3 miles a day with a co worker and since the weather has gotten hot we havent gone out at all.
The saturday after this saturday Danielle, her sister and I are going to join WW. Danielle and I thought we should do the same diet since we are going to be cooking for each other and it would be a pain if she was on low carb and I was on WW.
The last time I was on WW, I lost 15lbs...I know I can do that again...Since I lost that weight I gained a total of 20lbs....I was down to 161....1 point away from my goal. I was so tired of losing .2 each week or staying the same weight that I just gave up....I cannot let myself do that again. I have to resist the temptation of eating all those yummy foods that arent good for me.
Thanks for giving me a place to express how I was feeling. Scott

Hey Girls (and guys),
A friend put me on to this book written especially for brides.
Its called 'A Bride's Guide To Fast Fitness & Weight Loss'
I'm sure there is a thousand different ones out there but I found this one really helpful.
Rachel, i know it's from ATHF, but it's funny that you're syaing 'i'm, fat' and you have fast food products as your avatar...
OMG! I never realized that! HAHA. The irony of it is that I never eat fast food!

Re: Hi, My name is Rachel and................
Okay - well here I am again - My name is still Tracey and I am still struggling. I try so hard during the week - but I admit I am a grazer, I eat throughout the day - its usually healthy stuff that I graze on - but I have such a hard time not thinking about food. My life seems to revolve around the next thing I'm going to eat. Sad - but true. The only exercise I do is my treadmill - and while it is probably helping - I know its not enough - but I truly don't want to exercise.
btw - Scott - you do not look fat in your wedding pictures - you and Danielle look wonderful!!!
Just to add - I'm really not fat - I'm just soft in areas that I never used to be soft in. They were right when they said after 30 your metabolism slows down!!!!
