I have been posting on the Brides helping Brides thread and realized I should come and chat with my 09 Brides!
I was originally an 08 bride but we broke off the engagement. Now, we are engaged (again) and planning for summer 09 (and this time we mean it). I am very low key and searching for something cheap that isn't too catering hall-ish with a beautiful garden for a ceremony and pictures.
I can't even afford to book anywhere yet because we have no money! I start my new job next week (thank god!).
So I am just introducing myself and saying hi!

Check out the coral house located in baldwin if you are on a tight budget. My friend just had an outdoor ceremony there and she didn't pay too much. she was on a tight budget and her wedding was beautiful. Also, check out verdi's in westbury on old country rd. I don't know your budget but they are reasonable places.

trust me girl, I am with you! We just booked at the jericho terrace on a thursday night because we fell in love with the place and we are willing to scarfice a weekday in the summer, because it was cheaper. I still have mix feelings about the day but my fiance doesn't want a day wedding but that is still an option to look into. We still have time to change it. We will see! GOOD LUCK!!! It takes time, they will set up a budget plan with you to accomodate you if they see you are serious and plus they want your business.
