I don't know about staying because my friends parents live there, but definitely check out the racetrack and the park with the springs. There are a lot of antique stores and nice little restaurants on Broadway (the main street). I love Saratoga... its my favorite place upstate.

I'm going there this weekend!! My sister is getting married and her reception is at the Canfield Casino in Congress Park. It's beautiful up there. There are mostly inns and Bed & Breakfasts in town, and I've mostly stayed at my sisters so I can't recommend a place. But definitely check out the Race Track and the parks. The shopping in town is great too...
Anything specific let me know.

I worked in Saratoga every summer during college! It is such a fun town--so many cute restaurants and shops. Check out the track if it is open when you are there--usually opens late July. There are some great restaurants, and the park in the center of town is fun to hang out in. There is also an artist colony called Yaddo which is beautiful--an old mansion with beautiful grounds. Have fun!

The Casino is so beautiful! I always saw weddings there during the summer. She will get some beautiful pictures! Have a great time, I am jealous!

My Dad's house on the lake!
There's tons to do up there in the summer, of course it's super crowded in August b/c the track is open, but it's still lots of fun.
For a beautiful place to have dinner, go to SARGO'S at Saratoga National Golf Course, it's delicious & a gorgeous enviornment!!!
